What are some good US cities for small meetings with 8-25 people?

Our organization has various committee members that live throughout the United States. They often need to travel to a location, have a meeting, then go back home. Ideally, I'm looking for airport locations where fares are typically cheaper and that have direct flights to many cities, and nice cheap airport hotels with small meeting rooms. Any suggestions?
