Good cities in Central Florida?

We are considering a move to central Florida and are looking for recommendations for cities/areas to live in. We lived in Orlando before but don't want to be right in town - maybe 15-30 miles away. We have 2 young kids and are looking for: good schools, safe area, famiy friendly neighborhoods. Any suggestions?

1. Winter Springs is nice, as well as Wekiva Springs. Lake Mary is nice but homes are more than 350,000.
