best places to live

Advice on familyfriend/good jobs/cheap land cities or towns in the USA?

Ok, we live in Miami FL. It's very expensive to live here... Thankfully we are fortunate enough to own a townhome. I am getting my Master is Speech Pathology and would like to move to the North or West to towns/cities that have great land, good jobs, and family is a priority. Once we sell the house we'll be walking away with 100 K for a downpayment and savings. Any advice?

  1. Iowa. Yeah there is a lot of corn as everyone says. But it would be the perfect place to raise a family. Iowa is second in the nation (or was when I was attending) for education and a lot of the towns and cities in Northern Iowa are pretty affordable. Especially with your money. Your average house in Mason City can start anywhere from 25 to 40 thousand and they are nice, decent, and large enough homes to start a family. Or if you already have a family. Jobs would be pretty good for you as well. There are many places here that work with kids. Disabled and behavioral issues. Principal Financial. You name it.
