How do the police in big cities like Chicago,New York and Los Angeles feel about gun control?

Yes,I know there are other big cities,I just wanted to mention the top three.

1. As a citizen of one of those cities ill tell you Im scared as hell to live in a society where the police are armed and the people are disarmed...
2. Gun Control is kind of ridiculous in all honesty, agree or disagree with me, because the majority of guns used in crimes are not purchased legally, rather through a black market or other source. Regardless, people will kill, no matter what they use.
3. Whatever they're doing in NY seems to be working. If only we could apply it here in Philly.
4. they are happy as long as they are outfitted like an army. we are under martial law and most don't realize it
5. it doesn't matter what we do there will always be gun crimes i think it needs to be a stiffer penalty for the crime. you have 12 and 13 year olds with guns now days where did they get them? They didn't walk into a gun store and buy it it was stolen. how do you control that?
