best places to live

What is the best job that could be learned in 2 years and that allow you to live in a big city ?

I am training in general surgery now, i am somewhere in Eastern Europe but I would be very happy to live in a big city such New York, Paris, Rome, Sydney, Tokyo, Rio ... I am 30 yo, single, no children. I will became a specialist in general surgery in 3 years and that's no problem. But it doesn't make me very happy as long as I am not in a big city. I will try to find a job as a surgeon there but that means to study some years just to pass the legal aspect of the job, not the job itself. And i need to earn money during these years. Any PRACTICAL suggestions?

  1. ANY MEDICAL , SHOULD BE FOUND IN ANY BIG CITY
  2. Underground train driver
  3. Start networking now so you can get leads from doctor friends. Networking is the best way.
  4. YES! Pay your dues. Nothing in life comes easy. A good surgeon can earn six figures a year. Kid, that's serious money. Keep your nose to the grind stone and your eye on the prize. You'll get to move to anywhere your little heart desires soon enough. Good Luck
  5. If you are good at what you do and like what you do then there will be no problem finding work in any large city you would like to live in. Two things that have to go together. you have to like and even enjoy what you do to become really good at so if you put it together you will definitely have no problem.
  6. I have worked for several USA hospitals that sponsor doctors and med students from other countries to come here and give them jobs while they get all their licenses and paperwork done. Do an Internet search for Medical Doctor Recruiter. Also check out hospitals in large cities on line. There are also many programs to recruit medical staff for rural areas of USA and military programs. IF you need more info, feel free to contact me. Good Luck.
  7. you mean you graduated medicine and now into general surgery? ...GS or general surgery though a specialty is not a sub specialty.I suggest after general surgery training you go into sub specialty such as or tho,uro,neurosurgery,etc...to be able for you to survive in your chosen field.Because medicine now is into sub specialization. After your general surgery training though you could apply for fellowship in your chosen countries like New York.I know its hard, there are exams to be passed but no harm in trying. You surf the Internet for applications maybe scholarship.
  8. Reflexologist. Its a per call basis and sometimes earned a lot. (if you are good ha?)
