best places to live

What kinds of places are best for highly introverted people to live in? Any specific cities/towns?

I've heard some people say big cities are better because people mind their own business, you can be anonymous, and it's easier to find people who share your unique interests. However, I've heard others say small towns are better because of the stability, peacefulness, and less overwhelming stimulation. Which is best? Any particular places? Advice if you'd like to live in a big city someday, far from your family?

  1. You can live in your own private Idaho :) PS, Ah theres a B-52's fan or two out there LOL
  2. San Diego, CA
  3. Boy is this a fascinating question, I'm sorry I don't have an answer but I will be watching for what others suggest since I'm an introvert.
  4. Move to a farm
  5. Salisbury, MD
  6. I lived in both..yes in the big city people are neighbors and don't even know each other (or want too!) but in a small town environment everyone knows every ones business... so it is a toss up i like a small city with the convenience of a Meijers, Walmart, small Mall but not the traffic problems of a City like Chicago or LA..so, I like something in between big and small...
  7. I would not say a smaller town because there you have the bigots and close-minded ones who cause nothing but problems. Where I am moving to is a property with several acres where I can breath a bit, but the nearest large city is about 4 miles away. This way I can be at peace for the most part, but not too far away from where I need to take care of business. Also, the bigger cities have a great deal of fraud, but they do have a selection of more businesses to choose from. You just have to be careful anywhere you go. I researched the area I am moving to by going to www.wikipedia.com. There I researched the crime, demographics, employment, educational background of its population, and overall current disposition of that area. I am happy to say that it's a diverse area where I am not the minority. Consider where you move if there is diversity or not. When there is not, things tend to wind up on the south end. Where I am now there is no diversity and it was a huge mistake to move here; my neighbors are very hateful and I live in the largest town within 60 miles north and south of me. Still these folks here are uneducated in all ways, esp. how to show love to thy neighbors. Many Blessings
  8. maybe you should consider some more facts, like where you can get the best job, the rhythm of the place and the cost you can provide.
