best places to live

Which is the best place in America to live away from racism?

Public Comments

  1. The place does not exist - racism is everywhere.
  2. Fallujah, Iraq! Face it man, it is in our genes to be racist to anyone that does not look like you!
  3. A hole in the ground?
  4. hawaii, cus everyone too bussy having fun; or alaska cus your neigbors are so friggin cold and far away to care.
  5. somewhere in death valley in a cave.
  6. Dig a hole about 2 miles deep, climb in and hunker down. It is everywhere, and there is no escape. Every side is responsible for it too, and every side swears up and down they are the least guilty (if at all) when they are just as bad. Kinda sucks huh?
  7. i depends on what you call racism.... it is everywhere.
  8. in your dreams..you are never going to find such a place.not in this lifetime..sorry.
  9. Unfortunately it's everywhere. If it bothers you that much speak out against it.
  10. I don't think there is a best place for this.. people will always be racist. But I guess a larger city would be better?
  11. theres racism everywhere but usually in cities there isnt as much as in suburbs or small states . new york city los angeles and florida are known for having a large variety of races so you might have some luck there but racism is EVERYWHERE what matters is you dont take it to heart
  12. Why, are you a racist.
  13. hmmm i've been wondering that. except i've been wondering about the best place in the world.
  14. no wheres really safe but i would say california
  15. I dont believe we will ever be able to escape racism.. but if its acceptance that you're seeking... come down to Oz where we're extremely multicultural! :)
  16. What is racism anyway? There are all races of people in all places.
  17. Racism is everywhere it's like air, a wise and noble man once said that prejudice is just stupidity!!! People are afraid of indifference and love knows no color!!!!! Go where your heart takes you and you will never fail!!!!!!!!
  18. Anywhere where the majority of people are of your race. That way racism won't be a problem.
  19. I don't know where to go to get away from it,but I do know where not to go to avoid it.California,it seems so many people here are racist towards anybody who isn't their race.Blacks stick together, mexicans stick together, asians stick together and so on and so on.But almost everybody here who is not white dislikes white people and white people do not stick together.Stay away from California.
  20. Try Canada? But seriously speaking, racism is everywhere, especially if you are on escape-move, and if you tend to look at things as if they were racially motivated. Most of the times, a jerk person will be a jerk to you even if they are racist or not. They are not being racist. They are just being jerks. Of course, they can use the race card to its full extend, since they can look at you and generalize. But then again, they may be saying it to hurt you and keep being jerks, not necessarily because they are racist. But, if you are looking for places to live, try either large cities like New York, in which being racist is ridiculous since it really wouldn't make any sense and everyone around would look at the guy or girl thinking "What's wrong with you? We're on 2007, you know?" Or try a smaller town in the Midwest, where religious people and the communities will embrace you as a person, regardless of whether or not they feel "iffy" about you being around. Just remember to take a shower and look presentable. Keep a friendly attitude. And remember: sometimes people are just being jerks. You have every right to be a jerk back.
  21. I doubt you're going to find a place with no racism, but if you're looking for a diverse place where you don't stick out horribly (if that's the problem) I would suggest somewhere around San Francisco, CA.
  22. from what kind? victim or witness? if you're different even in your country i bet there's racism (or class ism-social position-) Or mostly tolerated differences should be more appropriated, but no racism... I doubt it.
  23. Racism is everywhere! There is no escape to it! Some places are particularly racist and some are less racist comparitively! You can't keep shifting places to get away from racism coz it is everywhere and anywhere. We lived in one of the so-called most safest places of England but there was plenty of racist people and even my dad got assaulted. But if u are really serious then you can dig a hole in the ground and live in it and never come out.
  24. im sorry to say but there is no place that you can hide from racism, it really is shame that in 2007 we still cant get it together,
  25. Western Massachusetts! I'm not kidding. (maybe San Francisco, but I've never been there). We have a HUGE variety of racial and ethnic groups, many colleges and universities and people from all over the WORLD studying at them. Many stay here and raise their families. Interracial marriages are not seen as weird at ALL The schools are multi-racial and supports students of all religions, ethnicities, special needs, etc. There are very strong Hispanic and Black communities throughout the area, as well as those for immigrants from all over the world. Yes, there are a few "backwater", hick towns (mostly in the Berkshires), where racism is more prevalent, but it is so rare, you barely notice it. The RACISTS here are seen as outcasts and odd! Check it out (or see links below), visit and you'll see what I mean! P.S.: The idea of trying out the Midwest is (for most towns) BAD! My husband grew up near Columbus Ohio and their last LYNCHING was in the 1970's!!! STAY OUT OF THE MIDWEST! Why do you think he left there???!
  26. HAWAII! There are so many different cultures in Hawaii and that's why it is known as "the melting pot." Not only Hawaii is known for its beauty but for being so very diversified. You can find lots of people who is up to five different ethnicities or even more. The people in Hawaii are known for their Aloha and they treat everyone as their own "ohana" just like in Lilo and Stitch.
  27. Unfortunately racism exists everywhere. It exists primarily due to ignorance. No race nor color is better than the other. It has to do with character and the content of a persons heart. I try to promote racial harmony. I carry myself in such a way to show OTHERS I am NOT the same as the person portrayed in movies. There are good and bad in ALL races. If we stop stereotyping and get to know other races it will help. Racism is passed down from generation to generation. It won't be eliminated, however, it can be diminished if we only promote love and not hate.
