1. In that reigon I can't say . . i'm from Northern Virginia about 10 minutes west of Washington DC . . . It's a very diverse area and i didnt appreciate it growing up, but now travelling to other parts of the states where people arent exposed to so many different cultures, i'm glad my parents chose to live here and raise me and my brothers and sister. So where ever it is. Cultural diversity is always a plus :)

3. ID definately. My sister lives there w/ her husband and new born and it is more peaceful and friendly people. Wherever you go, there will always be "dangerous" places to raise your children. You just have to search and find a good neighbourhood and a good school. Good Luck!
