what are the best small arts cities in US?

to live, work, coomunity... quality of life... housing, schools , standard of living... i meant "community" of course....

1. alot of places in MA and places near the bay area in CA.
2. Dallas TX. Go to city search,look for arts district it will have info for you.Economy in this area is average,expensive to live in this area but new luxury corporate condos have been built.Rich in history easy commute from subburb.Hope this helps
3. any coastal town will usually provide wonderful communities. Rockport Massachusetts area has great places, south florida, Rochester, NY has a nice little niche, thousand islands....and that is all just on the east coast!
4. Of course you can look at Provincetown MA or Key West FL--Buffalo/Rochester NY is a great place too!
5. Hot Springs, Arkansas has won the competition on small town arts for years in a row. Yahoo or Google it to learn more. It is an absolutely beautiful town nestled among a national park and the south end is surrounded by a gorgeous lake. Beauty and arts combined.
