the question has been asked what is the best place in america to live, but i wonder what is the worst town?

- There are two places that are GOD AWFUL!!! ElPaso, Texas as I like to call it, the armpit of the country and Hutchinson, Kansas...it's so ugly...
- I've heard it's Compton, Ca. But Philly has pretty scary neighborhoods, itself.
- I got it! Rock Springs, Wyoming. It is an armpit that reeks. Unfriendly people, barren landscape, cruel ice cold windy winters, huge mob presence, corrupt cops, rampant prostitution, gun happy roughnecks, and drunken rednecks.
- Gee, I can think of a few! One, is the central coast of California where there is a lot of pollution, lousy locals, garbage jobs, bad housing and lots of old crabby retirees. The other place is the whole state of Washington! I wish they'd disband from the union and start their own country. I guess any cruddy small town with small minds applies here!
- Honolulu is the highest ranking city in the US; Houston is the lowest according to a world-wide quality of living survey from the United Kingdom, Mercer Human Resource Consulting. Mercer’s study is based on detailed assessments and evaluations of 39 key quality of living determinants, grouped in the following categories: * Political and social environment (political stability, crime, law enforcement, etc.) * Economic environment (currency exchange regulations, banking services, etc.) * Socio-cultural environment (censorship, limitations on personal freedom, etc.) * Medical and health considerations (medical supplies and services, infectious diseases, sewage, waste disposal, air pollution, etc.) * Schools and education (standard and availability of schools, etc.) * Public services and transportation (electricity, water, public transport, traffic congestion, etc.) * Recreation (restaurants, theaters, cinemas, sports and leisure, etc.) * Consumer goods (availability of food/daily consumption items, cars, etc.) * Housing (housing, household appliances, furniture, maintenance services, etc.)
