Even though you haven't visited all the big cities give it a try and tell us about your experience if possible: NY, LA, Houston, ATL, Philly, Seattle, DC, Boston, Miami, Chicago, NO ect .... Any words on HOUSTON , I am planning to move there soon, and I hear it is not to best place for blacks. Thanks for participating....! I am sure the ranking will be good information to a lot !! Krist

- You don't need to be thinking about racism. Victims of racism make it happen. I have never been a victim of racism because of my attitude. I am a latino from Colombia, South America. If someone is racist towards me, they will get in big trouble.
- Houston is full of Black folks....who ever told you that Houston is a racist city if full of sh!t...Atlanta, D.C., and Dallas are a few places other cities that are "negro friendly." *Please keep in mind that no matter where you live, there will always be racist people (of every race too!). *Another thing...you mentioned N.O., honey youre a damn fool if you move to New Orleans right now!
- This is one of the dumb questions that just gets people upset. Be more positive and do not try to get people riled up with racist questions. If you are planning on moving to Houston and you do not feel as though it would be safe for you - DO NOT MOVE THERE. It is real simple. If you would not feel safe somewhere, stay out of that place. I know nothing about Houston but it is probably like any other big city with a large percentage of minorities. Some areas are going to be safe, some are not safe. Use your common sense. Do not go to places you do not feel safe.
- I'm not black, but I don't think Houston is a bad place for black people.
- uhmm ok man get over your trip black or not it's all in your head if you keep it in your mind no matter what you will always find it so get off your races thing and just relax no one wants to hurt you you do it your own self man,, and houston is awsome they love thier citixens black or not exept for our football team who god knows they need help but ya chill ok i dont know what part of the 50's you come from but no not here not anymore dont bring thats stuff...
- If it wasn't the best place... why does Houston have so many? and Chinese, Vietnamese, Hispanics (of all countries), Philipinos etc. I've been all over Houston and its little neighborhoods... it's very diverse and I'm proud to live here. There's not much racism, just stupid people doing stupid things.
- I've been here for 1 yr., and I found that The Woodlands is full of racist people. This is the south.
- you shouldnt rely on people's rankings for cities as to whether you move there or not. you need to visit it and meet some people who are from there or lived there to help you decide. those people that you meet need to be people who are similar to you in lifestyle, income, interests, etc. someone from the ghetto of houston is going to give you a very different picture of Houston than someone from a nicer area. for me, houston is okay in general. i have lived in and seen better places, but this is where i am for now. i think houston does have a lot to offer in the way of everyday choices. it is a huge town, so just going around the corner can take 10-15 minutes. the arts, cultural festivals, eating, shopping, etc are so various there is something for everyone. and there are so many people to meet that it should be no problem finding people with common interests to converse with.
- who ever told u dat!!!! dats a liie....well there is rasism 2 mexicans, blacks, white everything!!! and anyways shouldnt look at dat.....h-town is full of black people!
