Why does Yahoo Messenger display weather for US cities and not the UK cities I selected.?

My software is BT Communicator with Yahoo Messenger. Although the weather cities show correctly on my Yahoo Home Page, in Yahoo Messenger, only cities from USA are shown. I have edited the latter to correct them, but still the US cities are displayed in Yahoo Messanger window. How can I correct this? I live in the UK. I originally downloaded the UK version and it worked fine for months - it has just decided to show US cities with no input from me! This is the situation with me too, my weather destinations on My Home Page of Yahoo are correct, but in the Yahoo Messenger window they show as 4 US & other cities. There is no facility to correct this in Yahoo Messenger. All started happening 2 weeks or so ago ... and also I am having problems with Yahoo Mail which a) is not allowing my email client to collect the messages and b) Yahoo Messenger says I have mail but there is none in my Yahoo Inbox. And yes, of course I have checked all my Yahoo folders too.

2. IT might only show the u.s. cause when u downloaded the Messenger. Your given certain cities to where your at. So u probably downloaded the U.S. version instead of the U.K version. They are totally different.

4. I'm having the issue as well, except guess what? I'm in the US and mine are showing "Foreign" cities and not the US cities I selected. Mine happenend whenI loaded 7.5. May go back to 6.0. I used the Weather all the time!
5. This happens to me as well. I think it is an error of the application right? On my page of internet browser, it shows correct location where I've selected. But on the messenger window, it is not correct, it always show San Francisco which I've never selected at all. Somehow, this problem has just started happenning couple weeks ago. I wanna know how too :o)
