Best States to live with autistic children?

My Husband is preparing to attend Graduate school. We have one child with high functioning autism, and we are concerned about the best places to live.

1. New York City is the best! More attention is given to "handicapped" in NYC more than any other state.Not to mention all the culture.
2. stay away from Colorado Springs,CO.Horrible the refuse to give full day of K to children with an IEP but they give it free to children with ESL
3. From my point of view, Autism is not recognised so well anywhere and I dont think there is a certain place we can stay where it suits Children with Autism. We just have to learn to live in a society and educate others to learn to live and learn about Autism. In Uk Austism isn't really recognised and theres not much help available. Sorry if this doesnt help.
4. california seems to be the most progressive in dealing with autism.
5. I live in the Florida panhandle, and our resources here are above average. ABA is offered full time in several public elementary schools, and can be put on IEPs to get more services. We have numerous resources for ABA through private practices also. Florida State University has more than one campus in the area, if your husband is interested in that school. My son is about to turn 5 and has PDD-NOS. Email me if you need any more info.
