Where do you think is the best place to live in the United States?
I've seen enough of "the best place to live in the states raking" kinda stuff. I wanna hear your own opinion from your experiences. And why do you think so?

- Oregon! I was born and raised here and out of everywhere I have been in the US, it's the most beautiful, although Colorado comes in a close 2nd Oregon does get alot of rain, but the only other place I have ever been in the world with an much green is Ireland. So many forests here, rolling fields, mountains everywhere you look and even a dessert or two. There is even of course big towns for shopping such as Portland and Salem, but they are spread out far enough where you still get your chance at nature almost anytime you want. The only other place in the whole world that I would have a hard time picking between is Ireland (been there more than a few times) and both are very beautiful. Also have beaches here that are not so crowded but beautiful and gotta love the natural hotsprings up in the mountains (although you'll see alot of nude people - families hanging out at those.)
- Garden Valley, Idaho
- Santa Cruz, CA Why? Because we get everything good, beach, mountains, rain, sun, proximity to San Francisco, closeness to the Sierra's... There's a university and a community college, and you'll meet interesting people here. It's also a friendly place to raise a family. California is great as long as you stay away from LA!!
- I agree with Mirmir! It has to be Oregon. I currently live in Cali, and I hate it.. most of the people are ruder, the smog, the cars, it's terrible. I lived in Oregon for about 5 years and I wanna go back..
- i'm from Alameda CA. but my number one choice is: las vegas! why? because where else can you see the world-paris? go to paris resort. italian riviera? go to bellagio. a modern oasis? go to wynn las vegas. asian paradise? go to mandaley bay. plus the summers here are real nice-especially at night. not a gambler? go visit huge clothing outlet at the edge of town, or liberace museum or mgm theme park or stratosphere roller coaster ride.trump's going to build a mega condo soon...
- I too have to agree with Mirmir and Anakha, Oregon is wonderful. In my opinion it's the best place to raise a family. I grew up in Christmas Valley Oregon and it was the best experience of my life. I now live in New York, and if I could I would pack up, buy a house and move my family back to Oregon. Even alot of movie stars and singers have bought homes in Oregon's mountains. Good place to get away from things I suppose.
