19. I've lived an equal time in both places - well, nearly. And, really, it depends on where you live in either place. I'm not as keen on England as I am Wales, which is where I live now. And I wasn't as keen on Texas as I was Maine. North Wales has been a wonderful place to raise a child, without the fears my brother has for his in Texas. And all of Britain has the advantage of a living folk music scene, which is better than any I saw in the US.
20. I live in Scotland and although the weather isn't as warm as I would like it to be I don't think I would like to live permanently in America. I have worked and lived in England in my life and had no problems at all, so if it is between America and England I would have to plump for England because if I didn't like it I could get back home easy where as America is a long way from home. I have no problems with America, it's just too far from home!

Having just spent 3 years in the U.K-1 in England and 2 in Wales(S)-I would say the U.K.I live in Canada-about 3 hours from our American neighbour.I've met some nice Americans but I'm glad I'm Canadian but would be happier living in the U.K.Why?Culture,sense of humour-Brits know how to have a laugh and any problems can be solved over a good cuppa'!The education system is superior-kids have a global education rather than an ethnocentric one.Most Americans know little if anything about their kinder,gentler neighbour to the North.They think we all live in igloos and only speak French!(Well maybe some of us:) Anyway my vote is for England/U.K(specifically Wales!)

24. your question needs to be a little more specfic to your needs .i.e what you do for a living .What areas of the UK and the US are you thinking about moving to .Just to say which is best is to undefinable.After all a New Yorker would probably manage to settle in London quicker than a dairy farmer from Cornwall if you see what I mean .so please rephrase your question
25. Prior to Bush, America. Post Bush, England. As an American that makes me very sad to admit, but I've lost much of my patriotism in the last 6 years.
