Best place in the United States for a Single Mom to live?

What is the best place in the United States for a single mom to live? Would like it to be a fairly small town with low rent, programs for assistance for single moms (especially during the transition), good school systems, a lot of jobs, daycares, stable weather and without long commutes to get to work, etc. would also like it to be towards the west coast.

  1. alaska if you want to get married, there is an excess of men there.
  2. You just named half of the cities in America. Be more accurate. East coast or west coast. What part of the country are you looking to live in?
  3. Wichita, Kansas small, but it's home. :) i'll warn you on the weather, though. in kansas, it can go from a pleasant 70 degree day to a freezing cold (literally 32 degrees freezing) cloudy day within half an hour. and for school systems, look into the suburbs, you won't want to live in a part of wichita where you go to wichita public schools, they're not as good. make sure you're in the school district of one of the suburbs. and as far as commutes go, it really just depends on the job you get, where it's located, and where you live. So I hope this information helps! and in addition to the other question which you just posted, wichita was named the tenth cheapest place to build a house in the nation!
