best places to live

Where is the best inexpensive place to live in the United States?

I live in TX and it sucks and we really want to move. We just can't agree where would be a good place to live. We would perfer somewhere where it doesn't snow to much or have too many natural disasters. but we're on a tight budget.... anyone want to help? Name a nice, inexpensive, and safe place in the states. PLEASE.

  1. Wisconsin
  2. Kansas, Utah, Colorado are pretty good.
  3. Upstate NY--plus you have proximity to New York City!
  4. Oregon http://www.eugene-or.gov/portal/server.pt http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugene,_Oregon http://www.planeteugene.com/ http://www.wunderground.com/US/OR/Eugene.html http://www.registerguard.com/news/2006/09/10/home.php http://www.eugeneweekly.com/
  5. You might want to check out Denver or Colorado Springs. We do get some snow but last year it only snowed 6 times, so it is not nearly as bad as it seems. The mountains get the most of the snow. Tacoma or Olympia in Washington are also nice but pretty inexpensive. Same with Ann Arbor Michigan. Some areas of Pennsylvania besides Philly. And North Carolina is a really nice place to live and barely gets any snow. You can find some really good deals. They do get the occasional hurricaine but not anywhere close to as many as they get further south.
  6. warm, with no natural disasters and inexpensive relative to the rest of the country? wow youre not asking much. [calculating] ok its tucson az. i think you better stay where you are in texas. maybe move to a better city.
