best places to live

What is the best area of the United States to live in for a day-care provider?

What is the area most needing day-care providers in the U.S.?

  1. I don't know for sure, but Fort Collins, CO feels like it is up there
  2. Areas where both husband and wife work. Unfortunately most of these are expensive to live in and day-care providers aren't paid well. Areas that come to mind are San Francisco Bay Area (Expensive, but nice) and Seattle (Not as expensive, but lots of rain) I'm sure there are other areas but I know about both of these
  3. In south east kansas, there are never any openings for child care. Or the daycare isn't open when I need to work. I was offered a great kob, but I had to start at 4am, no daycare available until 5am, so I had to turn it down. NOw I am almost gaurenteed a job, but its overnight. My relatives value sleep, so no luck there. A daycare provider that did round the clock care would never be short of clientel. I have an aunt who runs a daycare. She makes great money, but it took her a while to build up her business. Most people around here can't afford to pay more then $70/week, which is pretty standard for full time care five dayd a week. Of cource you take that and multiply it by how ever many kids. And take into account that the cost of living and realestate is pretty low here. Its a decent living.
