best places to live

Sweden made the list of best places in the world to live?

Doesn't it seem like it is always a cold climate where people live longer and more responsible? Maybe they have more time to read? It seems to me North Dakota and Canada and Alaska never have the problems associated with the south? What is it about the cold weather that changes people?

  1. Sweden does seem to have a progressive society. But it is cold and dark. Parts of Canada are not that cold in winter- particulary the southern west coast (Vancouver Island and Vancouver) have very mild winters. US is older and a larger population than Canada or Sweden. History of slavery to deal with and racism doesn't help. Although some Canadians are racists against new immigrants and non-whites as well.
  2. Maybe it is waking up next to a nice, warm, loved one, cuddling, the smell of coffee that just starts a day right.
  3. I read that and the USA came in 23 on the list? We were far behind Australia. So now I am hurt. I thought we were first.
  4. I read that and it does seem like all the cold climates got top ratings. Africa was on the bottom of the list for good country to live in. Right now I think they have 17 countries flooded. Those poor people I think if I was them I would get on a boat to work my way somewhere else.
  5. Hey, we have a normal climate. Warm in the summer and cold in the winter. Anyway. Maybe it's because all the young irresponsible people move where the heat is. People that still are living life on the partyside want to be able to have BBQ parties all year round... Idk. Something like that I think maybe.
