  1. It depends on what kind of lifestyle and temperature you like. Orlando is very touristy, so there's a lot of traffic and inconvienance in driving around. The weather there is generally moderate in the evenings, and warm to hot during the days. It's cooler in the winter months. Because it's mostly students, tourists, and Disney employees, it's not the most pleasant place to live. St. Augustine is great because it has lots of historical sites and quaint areas to live. The weather is much cooler there than in Orlando. It is very laid back, and the people are very nice. I think there is a major college in Jacksonville, and there is Flager College in St. Augustine. Housing is much cheaper than South Florida. Boca Raton is one of the better places to live, because it has shopping, area attractions, and is generally a beautiful place. Apartments range from $700+ for a 1 bedroom. FAU is the area college here, as well as a community college. Fort Lauderdale is cool because it has everything you want from a big city in terms of shopping, beaches, and downtown nightlife. It's pretty much warm and humid all year round, and let's not forget the hurricanes! Apartments are typically $900+ for a 1 bedroom. There is an FAU campus and a community college. There are also private art schools. Miami is very congested in general. It's got really cool beaches and shopping, but it's a b*tch to get around. Apartment prices vary, depending on the area. Some areas of Miami are really, um, scary. The nicer areas get very pricey to live. Miami has several colleges. Best of luck!
  2. University of Central Florida is in Orlando and it is an up and coming school. As it is a state school the tuition is low. I like the cities in Florida as there is a lot to do. This would include Miami, but housing is not cheap there, Jacksonville, Tampa, St. Petersburg and Orlando. The problem with Orlando is that the traffic there is about the worst in the state.
