best places to live

What are 3 great places in world to live? Consider: people, govmt, career/lifestyle opportunities?

I'm an Operations Manager, Project Manager, MCSE. I love the outdoors (fishing, hiking, sightseeing, canoeing, etc.). Love learning, eating great food and listening to music. Love nice, down-to-earth people, great food & music, wildlife. Searching for a casual, friendly, relaxing environment--no rat race! No big cities, high crime rates or high taxes. BUT, mustn't be in the stone age either (need Ineternet and Cable to stay in touch with world). What place has good government, healthcare, people, outdoor activities, clean air, career opportunities, and infrastructure--where one can live inexpensively???

  1. Massachusetts, Australia, and England are the cheapest to live in
  2. Utopia. (I would have said British Columbia, Canada, but it's expensive...)
  3. Check the caribbean ,Haiwai , some island around , you must deal with some hurricanes now and then but hey! you cant have it all at once. Good luck and let us know what you pick!
  4. morroco,california and ........france
  5. Try Slovenia- it's a magical country!! runners up- Spain and Czech republic good luck
  6. Ontario! Toronto for the urban stuff ("New York without the litter or stabbings", I once heard someone say) and not too far to get to the Great Outdoors. The people I know there love it. I live in London, UK, me, but then I like the big city.
  7. Dayton TN-- That is where I am...Great place not really big..but only 1 hour from Chattanooga and 2 hours from Knoxville. Also maybe 1 hour from the Oocee River...It is where they did a lot of Olympic events like kayaking.. here you are near everything County borders on the Tennessee River, and we are also in the foothills of the Smokies..
  8. i think its south of france, great weather, great people, awesome salary ,and next to the mediterranean sea ,.... but the best place to live in is ur home, where ever it is
  9. I'll let you in on the secret. You can get all the above in NEBRASKA! I know I didn't believe it either until I moved here. Lots of Jobs In Columbus,Nebraska. Lots of Great Mexican food and the Biggest Steaks you could ever eat. Lots of Sunshine and Fishing is great. Nice slow pace out here no rat race.Still don't believe me. Well you will just have to visit Nebraska and see for yourself. Have a Good trip.
