- Long Key has a great park w/camping and trails right on the beautiful water. Key West is popular and not outrageously expensive, but very developed and can get crowded. Ask Fromers or AAA for good places on a budget. The Keys are beautiful.
- i hope this helps...
- Key West is great!!! Well, if you enjoy shopping, walking, and drinking... We usually stay in Marathon (cheaper hotel rates), halfway to Key West (from Key Largo), etc. Check-out White Sands Inn! Nice little hotel on the beach. They've got cute rooms, quiet location, fire pit, a pool, some water toys (row boats, paddle boats, etc.), grills, etc. Good Luck! Have fun, too!!!
- Key West is perfect for a young couple. Great little walkable town, fun bars and restaurants. Last time I was there, I went snorkeling. And of course, watching the sunsets from Mallory Square are really nice. If you can handle the long drive and potential traffic tie-ups on the weekend, it will be worth it. Lots of little mom and pop places on the way, John Pennekamp State Park in Key Largo is perfect for scuba and checking out reefs. Lots of places to go fishing, too! Have fun!
