6. Huntington beach is amazing. Laguna has some good waves, if you are a surfer. Well then again so does Huntington. They have surf comps to check out--check for schedules!! HB has some good shops too with reasonable prices and great bars at night!!
7. San Diego! Warmest water and best beaches in CA and there are so many great beach communties: La Jolla, pacific Beach, Mission Beach, Ocean Beach, Del Mar, ect.. You can also drink alcohol on the beach which you can't do in other parts of CA. There is constantly a party near the pier in Pacific Beach. There are tons of other things to do in SD too and the nightlife is great downtown in the Gaslamp Quarter and in Pacific Beach. Mission Bay is also really fun for jet skiing, boating, ect.. I love summers in SD and never leave from June to August.
