What are best and popular places to hang out and party in California?

What are best and popular places to hang out and party in California? I live in Sacramento and this town is pretty boring,plus I want to go some places new.

2. san francisco!!!!!!!!!!! also stockton... but san fran and san jose are the happpening spots
3. Go to Davis, Lot's of parties and not too far away. If you need to meet people in Davis, try the Farmers Market on Saturday morning or one of the down town bars any weekend.
