  3. southern california preferedly the rich parts like malibu etc.
  4. zurich switzerland has been voted to be the best place to live by a worldwide competition. they checked education, pollution, politics, freetime-options etc, etc. its been 3 times in a row...we fight seattle (i think) each year but we usually make it! it is defenetly a lovely place - it's just a bit horrible to look for a flat becuase everybody wants to move here....
  5. your home town, it is the most comfortable place.
  6. in the united states my Friend!, as it is the most free country in the world.
  7. It depends on your definition of best place; i.e. cheapest probably Mongolia and Nepal, nice views Switzerland, Austria, New Zealand, good living standard the US, France, England and more of North Western European countries, safetest probably Switzerland and Japan, excitment, try Berlin, New York City, Bangkok, Amsterdam. The best in my opinion is your house.
  8. I hear BC Canada. Highest standard of living.
  9. umm, that would depend on how much money you have. I don't have the statistics at hand, but I believe Australia and New Zealand rate highly for freedom, education, affordability, etc.
  10. America. Israel has as many freedoms too, (there are actually many mosque there which is amazing because many Muslims are trying to whipe them off the planet right now!) but at this time I wouldn't want to live there for the constant uncertainty of danger. Texas is a cool state: NASA lots of beaches desert snowy mountains big city's (dallas, houston) small city's (where everyone knows eachother)
  11. While Amsterdam is a nice city as far as they go.. Its not number one. I have lived there...I know. In addition I have also lived in the number 2 place near Seatle, Vancouver BC Canada, and as someone pointed out Zurich is #1, and has been for a while, becuase of the reasons mentioned. I suggest the number 2 place to live as its still affordable and the guy from Amsterdam might like it too as the price of BC bud is cheaper and maybe even better than in Holland.
  12. south africa is best 4 evrybody.
  13. Anywhere clam, nice people, better environment, people make u feel at home in there country.
  14. Singapore from what I hear since I have not visited the place myself.
  15. If you have made a few Billions and have no more worries I think you should be in Monaco. If you need a few millions and have more worries than you can handle the best place to live is somewhere in Italia where you can enjoy italian life and work on odd jobs.

  17. How do you want to live? And living in that way for years, how would you like to live thereafter? Which statistical information would you rely to decide? Check the development reports on and HDI for Norway and Niger. Surely, you will select one from these two.
  18. Vancouver is 'best place to live' Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin raises his glass during a speech Canadians have a lot to toast in terms of liveability, the EIU reckons Vancouver is the world's best place to live, a survey by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) has found. The EIU ranked 127 cities in terms of personal risk, infrastructure and the availability of goods and services. All the cities that fell into the top "liveability" bracket were based in Canada, Australia and Western Europe. The worst places were Algiers in Algeria, and Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea because "many aspects of daily life present challenges", the EIU said. Safe havens? Canadian cities scored well, as did Austria's Vienna and Switzerland's Geneva, because they are not seen as targets for terror attacks. TOP TEN Vancouver Melbourne Vienna Geneva Perth Adelaide Sydney Zurich Toronto Calgary Source: EIU The main uncertainty for people living in the those cities are climate-related, the EIU said. "In the current global political climate, it is no surprise that the most desirable destinations are those with the lower perceived threat of terrorism," said Jon Copestake, editor of the EIU report. The survey has produced a mixed picture of the world's cities. London was ranked in the 10th group, on a par with Dublin and Los Angeles, but one place below Manchester, four behind Berlin, five lower than Tokyo, and six off Helsinki, Frankfurt and Stockholm. Bottom 10 cities Tehran Douala Harare Abidjan Phnom Penh Lagos Karachi Dhaka Algiers Port Moresby Source: EIU In Latin America, "no city manages to present ideal living conditions, neither do any fall into the category where extreme difficulties are faced", the EIU said. Montevideo in Uruguay, Santiago in Chile and Buenos Aires in Argentina offer the region's best conditions. Bogota in Colombia and Caracas in Venezuela score the least favourably. In Asia, cities in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, China and Taiwan all score well, as do Australia's main hubs. Africa and the Middle East fare less well, with the EIU citing concerns about terror attacks, and economic and political instability. Some of the worst performing cities include Harare in Zimbabwe and Lagos in Nigeria.

  21. There is no such thing; the best place for you can be a place of torture for me and vice versa because of trivial things like weather or language.
  22. Any of the western European nations would be good ... as they have good social programs, as well as good employment opportunities for people. You have to have a balance.
  23. The best place is ESPAÑA!!
